Erika Hidaka is passionate about life.
She was born in São Paulo, and has considered Portugal her home since 2016.
She believes in love and the simplest things. In these years Erika has learned to be more aware and present for herself and others. She understands the practice of yoga as a lifestyle and a tool for balance; for the inner journey and for well-being, physically, spiritually, emotionally and mentally.
Thinking about caring and helping others was her ‘life legacy’. Whilst searching for her path, she has completed a degree in Nursing and a postgraduate degree in Integrated Management. However, it was with Yoga that she found herself and found her true passion: sharing knowledge and inspiring people to be their best.
After completing a 200h yoga teacher training with Sunshine Yoga School, Erika wanted to deepen her practice, and so completed her second 200h teacher training in 2018, with the Manu School of Yoga.
Being a lifelong learner, she continues to study within the school, and is currently working through the Precision and Flow certification process.
Erika believes in the potential of yoga for healing, empowerment, transformation and pure awareness awakening.
Her dynamic Hatha Vinyasa classes are built with intelligent sequencing, intentional themes, and focus on alignment. All classes are adapted to any practitioner in their uniqueness and diversity.
She creates a safe, non-competitive space for her students to dive beneath the surface of their daily lives to find deeper meaning and inspiration.
Erika’s endlessly grateful to all of her teachers who have lit the way, and is honored to share this light with others.
She believes that regular yoga practice can really lead to freedom and happiness.
